2010 Joan Robinson Evening Trial Round 4

Jack Butterworth Novice WinnerThe last round of the 2010 Joan Robinson evening trials was held at Back cowm quarry last Wednesday, and there was championship points in most classes to be won and lost on the night. The course was a little on the easier side as the forcast was for heavy rain on the night, but luckily this held off till after the trial and all the subs where ridden in the dry. This led to some very close scores in the experts and the over 40 classes with tie breaks in both classes for the win, Ben Butterworth took a well deserved overall win just edging out Josh Law on the most cleans rule both finishing on 10. Mathew Alpe was the top youth expert with a very stead ride to finish on 15 in total. In a depleted intermediate class Ross Law took the win from Jake Isherwood, Law on 15 and Isherwood on 31. Jack Butterworth was top A class rider on 22 riding the same route as the inters. The Over 40 class went right down to the wire with Pete Clibburn taking the win from Stephen Robinson both losing just 2 marks Pete was the furthest clean. The biggest class of the night was the conducted class with a mixture of small wheeled bikes and medium wheeled bikes and a few Osset electric bikes all attempting the sections, the parents and the observer had their hands full keeping every one upright through the sticks, Harvey Doolan on his geared Beta 50 took the win from Ethan Cottrell on his Gas Gas. Harvey dropped 21 and Ethan dropped 29.
