Rochdale D.M.C Boxing day charity trial this year proved to be a good chance to blow all of those festive cobwebs away, with the proceeds going to a worthy cause, nearly 70 riders turned out, for a bit of fun and banter.

Eight sections had been set on Christmas eve, by Ian Blackburn and his son Sam, who deserve a pat on the back, for giving up their time. Every level had been catered for from beginner through to expert, but as is usuall at this event, it was a chance for people to ride something different, with plenty of Enduro bikes on the beginner route and Andy Cripps on the inters riding on a mint looking Air cooled Beta TR 34. Fancy dress was also an option, with  a couple of onesies on show, riders seemed to get into the spirit of things and enjoy  the event.

As is normal with this trial, the sections proved to be very sensible, with  a well-planned lap, and good feedback from the riders, the emphasis being on enjoying the day whilst raising money for to go to the North West Air Ambulance.

It just remains to thank everyone for their efforts over the past year, especially Paul Johnson, who stood down as chairman at the last AGM after ten years of service, all the best mate thankyou.

Happy new year to ALL and see you at back at Cowm in January.

Thanks Alan
